About the Series

The Series

The purpose of this series is to get more paddlers onto the water, having fun and racing.

We have organised it because we are passionate about the sport of paddling and want to see more people enjoying it (also the more people entering races we compete in the more fun we will have).

Goals

Our goals are to:

  1. Create a series that gives paddlers a summer long incentive to keep paddling and enter 5 or more races over that time.
  2. Create a vibrant recreational paddler racing scene.

We hope this series will become a framework for the future of the sport to create a cohesive summer calendar of racing regardless of preference for boat.

Series Management

The series will be run by Result HQ who will manage the back end of the series and promotion of the series and participating events.

ResultHQ will have no direction of the management of the individual events which have their own management, sponsors, safety and responsibilities etc.

Compete in five races to maximise your ranking!

Points Calculation

The series rankings will be determined by points earned by paddlers from each race they enter.

Races are split into two levels:

Series Ranking

A competitors top five results will contribute to their overall ranking.

  • This can be made up from any combo of gold or silver events
  • If a competitor goes in only 2 events they will still get a ranking it just obviously won’t be as high if they go in 5
  • If a competitor goes in 15 events their best 5 results will be used for their ranking

What if it's a draw?

In the case of a draw the results from the largest event (based on individual competitors) the competitors went head to head in will be used as the draw breaker. If they didn’t go head to head the result from each competitor’s largest event will be used.
